THE STATE OF THROMBOTIC READINESS IN PATIENTS WITH CARDIOVASCULAR PATHOLOGY AND A HISTORY OF CANCER

Abstract

The state of the hemostasis system was assessed by the thrombodynamic characteristics of the blood in 75 patients with pathology of the cardiovascular system, who were treated in the Cardiology Department of the Clinical Hospital “Russian Railways-Medicine” in the city of Saratov. Two groups were distinguished: Group 1 - 32 patients without an oncological history, Group 2 - 43 patients with a cardiac pathology registered in the oncological dispensary. Hypercoagulable changes in the thrombodynamic properties of blood were detected in most patients in both groups: in 53 % of the cardiac patients without a burdened oncological history and in 72 % of the cardiac patients with a burdened oncological history (no significant difference between the groups). The phenomenon of spontaneous thrombus formation was also equally often observed in both study groups. The structure of hypercoagulable changes differs in patients of the two groups. Velocity parameters of thrombodynamic characteristics of blood were increased in patients of the both groups. However, the addition of a burdened oncological history in cardiac patients aggravates hypercoagulable disorders due to the addition to the pathology of the speed indicators of the clot germ of the pathology of qualitative characteristics - an increased size of the fibrin clot.
